Floor Plan

State Funding Awarded

The Hall County Board of Commissioners and the Hall County Library System were delighted when the future Spout Springs Library was allocated an additional $2 million in funding in Georgia’s FY06 amended budget. The budget for the project will total approximately $6 million, the bulk of which will come from local SPLOST funds. Hall County will break ground on the project by late fall 2006 and construction is expected to be completed in late 2007. With the additional state funding, the building will be approximately 22,000 square feet and the second largest branch in the library system. The building will have a computer lab, 28 public computers and an opening day collection of 39,000 items. The architectural firm for the project will be Pope Partners of Roswell.

Library Location Announced

On February 14, 2006, the Hall County Board of Commissioners and the Hall County Library System announced the planned addition of a new library for South Hall County, to be located in Flowery Branch at the corner of Spout Springs Road and Lake Sterling Boulevard in front of the Sterling on the Lake™ community. The new library will be the sixth branch in the Hall County Library System. The building will be situated on five acres.

SPLOST Funds Approved

On March 13, 2004, Hall County voters approved $4 million in SPLOST funds to go toward the building of a 20,000 square foot facility to be located in south Hall County. Currently, there is no library serving this area of the county where 50% of the Hall County population lives. The new library will offer all standard library services as well as meeting rooms, study rooms, and much more.
